Full Biography

Bachata trio Marcy Place, comprised of singers JC, Joel and Billy, came together at a recording studio owned by Leny Santos of Aventura, located on Marcy Place in the Bronx, New York. It was at this recording studio that Reggaeton superstar Don Omar first discovered the group and took them under his wing. Singer JC (born Juan Carlos Cabrera in the Dominican Republic) had been working at Aventura's recording studio as a sound engineer when Don Omar recorded his 2007 hit "Canción De Amor," which JC helped produce. JC fused his love of music and composition to the love of bachata and R&B that brothers Joel and Billy Pabón contributed, and together the three singers have created a fresh new sound within the urban bachata genre. Marcy Place released their debut album, B from Marcy Place in December 2008 and are the first Descubre and Download artists on MTV Tr3s in 2009, offering free downloads 'Todo Lo Que Soy' and 'Dame Un Chance' as part of the free latin music campaign.
